Life Imitating Poetry

Forgiven
by A. A. Milne

I found a little beetle, so that Beetle was his name,

And I called him Alexander and he answered just the same.

I put him in a match-box, and I kept him all the day...

(...and now he rests in the matchbox on her dresser as she sleeps!)

  2. I am just checking out your blog because your mom left a link to it on Crystal Paine's facebook status (asking for good blogs about homeschooling with little ones) and even though I don't know your mom, I thought I would check out your blog. Anyway, I thought I would comment that my daughter (3.5 years) loves this poem too and calls all bugs "Beetle" or "Alexander" consequently.
