decadent dessert for two
Molten Chocolate Cake

Grease two custard cups. Place on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 425.

Microwave 2 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/4 cup butter for 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Stir with wire whisk until chocolate completely melted. Stir in 1/2 cup powdered sugar until well blended. Whisk in 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Stir in 3 tablespoons of flour. Divide batter between prepared custard cups.

Bake 14 minutes until sides are firm but centers are soft. Let stand 1 minute and invert cakes onto dessert dishes. Serve hot!!

  1. Wow, that sounds delicious! Unfortunately Tim can't eat chocolate. We like to make drizzle popcorn for when it's just the two of us at night. We use peanut butter chips and white chocolate chips normally, so that Tim can enjoy it. However, a mixture of milk, semi-sweet, and dark chocolate is delicious!

  3. Aww, I love this type of date. Whenever we go on an actual leave-our-child date I get sad and miss her (even though she's just over at Grandma and Grandpa's getting spoiled).
