Oh, my aching foot!

The morning sickness is melting away.  In fact, it is almost gone.  My energy is slowly growing (as I realized today when I was able to clean the bathroom and dust my neglected upstairs in the same morning).  Having entered the second trimester, there is promise that my to-do list can grow beyond survival mode--  except that I suffered another setback when I broke my toe this morning.  Now I am running the house from the couch with my foot propped up and packed with ice while my children play on the floor and snuggle at my side.

Until my bones are healed and my full strength returns, take a minute to read   this article   my mom posted on her blog this morning, written especially to encourage young moms.

  1. I forgot to ask you about morning sickness :( I tend to forget about that since I'm one of the women (who other women do not like) who doesn't experience this. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, but oh a broken toe. That doesn't sound like fun at all.

I read your mom's post earlier and was very encouraged. I don't know how many times I've heard the "you think this is hard, just wait until their teenagers" line. I always want to say that if I work hard at training them now I probably will have an easier time in the long run, but somehow I manage to bite my tongue. Being a mom is hard, no matter what your children's ages.

Oh, by the way, congratulations on winning those math books. I was so excited for you when I saw that you had won 2!

Wow, this comment turned out to be really long, I probably should have just emailed you :)

    Have a great day!

  2. Kristin~

So sorry about your toe. But glad your Morning Sickness is subsiding.

Thank you for linking to your Momma. Her post was something all of us Young Moms need to hear, but do not.

You are very blessed to have such a Wise Mother that is sharing her Wisdom with you. I think most of us (myself included) are on our own just trying to figure things out as we go.

    Have a good day~
