Choices

Everything is a choice. Do I grumble about the clutter by the door or revel in the comfort of everyone being at home? In these busy spring days of Brian's lawn care business, days when he is absent more than we like, days when tears are too frequent as everyone longs for his key in the door, I choose to enjoy this visual sign that all is well. For I will yet praise Him...

  1. How familiar do these posts sound....and yes, do I choose to have joy?! Most of the time not! Thanks for the reminders!

  2. I know what you mean. My husband is an auto technician and everyone needs his help. I gripe about it more than I'd like, but i'm really trying to learn to have joy, in the Lord, not in my circumstances. :)
Praise God your hubby is out there earning money in such a tough economy. I keep in mind the many husbands and fathers who have lost their jobs and can't imagine what struggles they now face. I thank God for my husbands job, even when it's tough. Good for you for keeping everything into perspective - even when it's hard!
I actually just wrote about joy today. :)

  3. Thank you for these encouraging post. I may have to follow suit... if only to discipline myself to praise the Lord in all the little struggles I have instead of complaining. So much is crazy these days without time to clean the house, make yummy dinners, take a shower... yet I should be concentrating on praising Him for the very things... not focusing on the bad sides.

    Thanks!

  4. Choosing to have Joy isn't always easy! I don't exactly have a husband, but choosing to have joy while waiting for the right one is often a difficult task. :-)

    God Bless,
