31 Days, 31 Smiles {Day 5}: Having Fun at Bath Time

Bath time should be fun time.  However, if you are a parent of toddlers or preschoolers, you know that bath time often means two kids fighting over the one of the kajillion tub toys or whining over the drip of water that one sibling splashed into another's eye even though the whiner just dumped a cup of water over his own head.

Bath time has made me lose my cool more than once

This simple activity has saved my sanity on occasion
.  Squirt a large dollop of shaving cream into a bowl.  Add 1-2 drops of food coloring and stir well.  Plop kids in the tub with the bowl and a paint brush and let them go to town.

Clean-up is easy.  Simply shower down the walls with cold water and the "paint" washes away.  The great part about this activity is that it leaves the bathroom smelling great and the shower stall a lot cleaner than it was when you walked in the bathroom!

  1. Love this idea! I will be trying it for sure. My kids also love it when I blow bubbles for them while they're in the bathtub.

  3. We do this all the time! Eleanor often asks to take a "paint bath" instead of a "regular bath". :) Such a great way to make bathtime fun time.

  4. I surprised Abi with this last week for bath time. She painted the all 3 walls. It was beautiful- she had a blast.
